About A Daily Disciple
A Daily Disciple is a free, year-long family-worship devotional — one short, unhurried reading a day, made to be read aloud around the table. Everyone follows the same day of the year, so families, friends, and whole churches can walk through it together.
Why we made it
Most parents long to pass their faith on to their children but aren't sure where to begin — and the busiest seasons of life are exactly when discipleship gets crowded out. A Daily Disciple exists to make the most important work simple and doable: about ten to fifteen unhurried minutes a day, with everything you need already on the page.
We believe the home is the first place faith is caught, and that a parent who keeps showing up — even imperfectly — is doing the great work of God. This is a tool to help you show up.
Who it's for
It's written for ordinary families. Each day has a shared reading plus age-tiered prompts, so younger children, middle children, and older kids can all take part at one table — roughly ages 3 to 13 across the three volumes. You don't need any special training; it's warm, gospel-first, and Spirit-filled, and it works just as well for a single reader, a small group, or a church.
The three volumes
Volume 1 — Knowing God explores the character and works of God. Volume 2 — Following Jesus walks through the life and teaching of Jesus in the Gospels. Volume 3 — Ready to Stand & Be Sent builds a faith children can explain and a heart for the people around them. Each is a full 365 days, made to be read side by side or one at a time.
How to use it
Pick a time and keep it simple. Right after a meal works for many families. Aim for ten to fifteen minutes — done imperfectly beats not done.
Go in order, but don't keep score. The days are numbered, not dated. Miss a day or a week? Just pick up at the next one — you're never "behind."
Read the day together. Each day follows the same gentle flow: the short Scripture, the memory verse, a brief teaching, age-tiered "Around the Table" prompts, a conversation starter, a "Defending the Faith" answer, and a prayer to close.
"For Dad · Go Deeper" is for the parent leading — read it before or after to feed your own heart. The Bible-in-a-Year reading is an optional bonus track.
Lead warmly, not heavily. Let the little ones wiggle and the older ones ask hard questions. You're not performing; you're pointing your family to Jesus.
About the Scripture
The full passage is printed right on each day, so you never need a separate Bible to begin. English readings use the Berean Standard Bible and Russian readings the Синодальный перевод — both freely available in the public domain.
