📖 Bible-in-a-Year (optional)
Today's reading: Acts 6–7
Reading the whole Bible in a year — do this when you have extra time. (Stephen stands firm to the very end.)The Heart of It
All week we've talked about standing firm among big ideas. We saw Paul in Athens. We heard the warning against empty lies. We talked about deep roots in Jesus, the Spirit of truth, and loving those who differ. Today Paul gives us the treasure at the center of it all. He prays that our hearts would be knit together in love. He prays that we would fully understand and know the mystery of God. That mystery is Christ Himself. And in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Read that again slowly. All the treasures of wisdom are hidden in Christ. Every single one. They aren't found in being the smartest. They aren't found in keeping up with every new idea. They're found in knowing Jesus. If you have Him, you have the deepest wisdom there is.
That's why the world's empty lies can never really compete. The world offers cheap trinkets. Jesus is the whole treasure chest. So how do we stand firm as a family? Not by being clever enough to answer everything. We stand firm by treasuring Christ above everything. Worship Him together. Delight in Him. Let your hearts be knit together in love. A home that prizes Jesus as its greatest treasure raises kids who aren't easily fooled by fakes. They've held the real gold. So tonight, let's worship the One who holds all wisdom. Let's ask Him to be our family's most precious treasure.
Around the Table
Where is the very best treasure in the whole world? It's in Jesus! He is better than any toy or prize.
Let's do it: Cup your hands like you're holding treasure and say, "Jesus is my treasure!"
Paul says all the treasures of wisdom are hidden in Jesus. So knowing Him is better than knowing everything else.
Let's talk: What's a "treasure" people chase that isn't as good as knowing Jesus?
Standing firm isn't out-arguing the world. It's treasuring Christ. In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Let's go deeper: If Jesus holds all true wisdom, how should that change where you go first with your big questions?

If you found a real treasure chest, what would you hope was inside? Paul says the best treasure of all is hidden in knowing Jesus.
🛡️ Defending the Faith
We don't have to fear running out of answers. "All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" are in Christ (). He is the source. The world's best ideas only borrow from Him. So when we don't know something, we can humbly point to the One who does ().

Make this Family Worship more than a lesson. Make it a moment of treasuring. Sing a song together. Read slowly. Let each person name one thing they love about Jesus. Notice Paul's logic for the whole month. The cure for deception (v. 8) is not mainly information. It's affection. It's a heart "knit together in love" that has tasted the treasure of Christ (vv. 2–3). Your job as a father isn't to win every argument for your kids. It's to make Jesus look as glorious as He truly is. Then the trinkets the world offers lose their shine on their own. Worship is apologetics for the heart. End the week not anxious about the tough world, but glad in the great Christ.

Let's Pray Together
"Father, make Jesus our family's greatest treasure. He is better than anything this world can offer. Tie our hearts together in love. Keep us standing strong in Him. In Jesus' name, amen."
Every treasure of wisdom is hidden in Jesus — so I'll go to Him first.
